If you’re looking for a recipe that’s as easy as it is scrumptious, you don’t want to miss this simple crock pot cider pulled pork! It’s the perfect mixture of sweet and savory!
We love to whip up a batch of this yummy pulled pork and freeze it for later. It makes pulled pork nachos a breeze on busy days! All you have to do is throw some frozen pulled pork on your tortilla chips. Add some shredded cheese and diced red onions then drizzle with BBQ sauce. Toss them in the microwave until the cheese has melted and you have the perfect busy day lunch!
Ingredients
4-5lb Pork Roast
1 Cup Sparkling Cider
1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce
Buns
I like to find a pork roast that has plenty of marbling and some fat. If you buy a roast that is too trim, you won’t get the same flavor. While the fat cooks, it adds so much tastiness to the meal. Once shredded, the meat won’t appear fatty at all. Most of the fat will dissolve while cooking in the crock pot.
Instructions:
1. Place the pork roast in the slow cooker.
2. Slow cook for 8hrs on low or 4hrs on high.
3. Drain any left over liquid and shred the pork.
4. Mix in the bbq sauce.
5. Serve on buns and enjoy!
