There are few things I love more than the crisp goodness of a scrumptious side dish. Whether it’s fresh asparagus or these easy homemade onion rings, I just love a yummy side dish!

But making homemade onion rings can be tricky. They often turn out soggy or the batter just falls off when you start cooking them.

After a fun night out and the most delicious onion rings I’d ever ate, I was determined to master the art of making homemade onion rings with the use of spanish onion! I tried and tried again until I finally perfected the perfect easy homemade onion rings!

Today, I’m sharing the crunchy goodness with you!

These easy homemade onion rings are SO GOOD! Crispy and delicious.

Easy Homemade Onion Rings

Ingredients

1 cup of all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 large size onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices

1 teaspoon salt

1 egg

½ cup of sparkling water

1 cup dry bread crumbs

Instructions:

Step1: Heat the oil in a deep-fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C).

Step2: Cut the onion slices into ring shapes , and set aside. (If you struggle with getting even onion rings, this handy gadget can help!)

Step3: In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, egg and salt. While
mixing them add sparkling water slowly.

Step4: Dip the onion slices into the flour mixture until they are all coated, then dip
them into the breadcrumbs in another cup. Deep fry the rings a few at a time for 2 to 3
minutes, or until golden brown. Use paper tower to suck oil from rings.
