These shows are perfect for the dog-days of summer, when you’re snowed in or when you’re stuck in bed for the day. The Andy Griffith Show:

Who can forget Aunt B. and her oh-so-polite family? Mayberry may be a thing of the past but you can still enjoy a good time, sharing one of the best shows of all time with your kids. It’s refreshing to watch a classic family oriented show that doesn’t involve sex, drugs or crude humor.

Saved By the Bell:

While it may not be Andy and Barney, Saved by the Bell is still a pretty darn cool show! Zack and Kelly were always my idols. With their quirky classmates and goofy principal, who wouldn’t want to join them at The Max? Six seasons are currently available to stream on Netflix.

MacGyver:

Do you have a string, a tube of minty toothpaste and a flashlight? Perfect! You have everything you need to rappel down a cliff and escape the bad guys.
Okay, he may not have been that good but there’s no doubt this adventurous man will solve the problem, usually with the help of his trusty Swiss Army Knife and a roll of Duct Tape. After all, what other items could you possibly need to save the world?
Your kids will love watching all 7 thrilling seasons of MacGyver!

The Munsters:

Step back in time with this black and white hit TV show from the 1960’s. There are only 2 seasons, so it won’t take long to make your way through them. Your kids will laugh out loud at the typical ghoul-next door, their vampire grandpa, werewolf son and “normal-looking” niece. This odd but goofy gang will have your family wishing they would’ve made more seasons.

America’s Funniest Videos:

Okay, okay. I’ll admit it. This isn’t the original hilarious home video show but unfortunately, Netflix doesn’t stream “America’s Funniest Home Videos” so this is second best. It’s still the knee-slapping hilarity that America’s Funniest Home Videos originally created. Watching people fall, get hit in the face with boards and hearing the unpredictable things kids say will never get old. Tom Burgeron is no comparison to Bob Saggett but the show is almost as funny as the original, with much better video quality. With 5 seasons, you’ll laugh until you hurt and your kids will wonder why you didn’t watch these hilarious video collections years ago.
