12 Art Lessons on YouTube Your Kiddos will Love!

Art is not something that comes naturally to everyone. Even the most famous artists have to put in a lot of hours, perfecting their natural talent  and improving their design. So when someone like me, who has basically no art talent tries to help my kids enjoy art, well…it doesn’t generally turn out too well. That’s why it was vital that I find someone else to teach my kiddos art class. What better way to do that than find easy art lessons on YouTube?

YouTube art less just dandy but we quickly discovered the art lessons on YouTube left a lot to be desired. With thousands of art videos, only a handful seemed to be of good quality.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like weeding through those thousands of art lessons on YouTube each and every time my kiddo wants to spend the afternoon creating art. That’s why I rounded up my very favorite art channels and am sharing them here with you!

*It’s been brought to my attention that Vamos Art has one video titled “Drawing Cartoon, Dirty Fantasy?Sexi Cartoon?” that is not kid friendly.  The video starts out by drawing what appears to be a girls booty, but by the end, it’s an owl. That’s the only video I found to be inappropriate but it’s definitely worth noting. I wouldn’t want my young kids to stumble upon it!

Rapid Fire Art:

Learn to improve drawing facial expressions, shadings and so much more with Rapid Fire Art. While this channel is smaller than others on the list, the way she explains things makes her one of our favorites. Plus, they’re constantly adding new art lesson on YouTube for you to try out.

Art a la Carte:

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to create calligraphy with crayons or how to make your own stickers, Art a la Carte has got you covered. Not only do they offer thorough art lessons on YouTube, but they also teach you creative arts, outside of paint and colored pencils.
