Super Easy Glow in the Dark Slime

If your house looks like mine, at any given time, there are the basic components of slime strung around your kitchen. The counters are littered with sparkles and the table is covered in sticky glue.

The slime trend doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, so moms everywhere need to learn to love their slime-covered furniture. Instead of  making gallons upon gallons of the same old slime, why not try a few new recipes? My kiddos love making root beer float slime and textured slime, along with every scent you can imagine!

Check out their latest creation: Glow in the Dark Slime!

Glow in the dark slime is all the trend. With only 5 ingredients, you can whip up a batch in less than 5 minutes! And you probably already have all the ingredients!

Supplies for Glow in the Dark Slime:

  • 1 5 oz container clear glue
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ⅓ tsp borax
  • ¼ cup room temperature water
  • 1 tbsp glow in the dark paint (Less if you want more of a clear slime that has a dull glow)
  • Glow in the Dark Sequins or confetti (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a container, pour 1 cup of hot water.Glow in the dark slime is all the trend. With only 5 ingredients, you can whip up a batch in less than 5 minutes! And you probably already have all the ingredients!
  2. Add ⅓ tsp of borax and mix well.
  3. In a second bowl or container, fill with ¼ cup room temperature water.
  4. Squeeze an entire bottle (5 oz) of clear glue.
  5. Pour in your glow in the dark paint and swirl around until it is nice and mixed.
  6. If you want to use confetti or sequins, add them now!  They have cool glow in the dark ones or star confetti would be neat!
  7. Pour your entire water/glue bowl into the first bowl of borax and water.  You will immediately see the slime begin to form.
  8. Let it sit for about 30 seconds to a minute and wipe out your empty bowl.
  9. Pick up your slime from the water and borax solution and transfer it to your empty bowl.  It will be sticky at first! That’s ok! Knead it and it will thicken up and finish forming.  If your slime is still way too sticky, splash a bit of the borax water on it and continue to knead.
  10. Store in an airtight container.
