There are a few subjects that I dread teaching as my kids get older. It’s safe to say that middle school chemistry is on the top of my list!
I never took a chemistry class in school so when my daughter started asking when she could take it, I started panicking. I knew I wasn’t fit for the job. But our homeschool co-op had taught a very vague chemistry class and it sparked her interests.
Of course, I didn’t want to kill that spark so I set out to find someone else to teach middle school chemistry for me. That’s when I found Fascinating Education.
SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM TO ENTER TO WIN!!!
There are a few things I look for when I start researching new curriculum options:
- Self-paced
- Easy-to-understand lessons
- Short lessons so kids aren’t overwhelmed
- Affordable
- Audio and visual based
- Step-by-step learning
Fascinating Intro to Chemistry marked all those boxes for us! I was thrilled.
All About Fascinating Intro to Chemistry
To the point lessons:
We fell in love with Intro to Chemistry because of the short, precise lessons. Each lesson only takes about 45 minutes to watch the presentations. Students will then spend another 45 minutes taking the test.
Fascinating Intro to Chemistry has 13 lessons total that teach in a step-by-step manner. With clear illustrations and audio and visual teaching, it’s perfect for all kiddos!
Perfect for middle & high school:
While most homeschoolers don’t start chemistry until high school, middle school chemistry is a great way to get them a head start. They build a basic understanding of the concepts taught in Chemistry, at a more basic level.
Religious AND scientific:
Choosing a science course for your student can be a struggle. Many courses are Christian-based and others are science based. Rarely do you find a course that shows both sides of the story. However, Fascinating Education does just that.
Brings chemistry to life:
While I pictured chemistry as mixing a lot of dangerous chemicals, it doesn’t have to look like that! Fascinating Education does a great job of bringing chemistry to life for students to learn, without the mess of a science lab!
Grows with students:
I’m super grateful that we found this middle school chemistry class while Emersyn was still in middle school. She loves the video format of the course, while I love the fact that I don’t have to do much teaching. She’s already talking about the next Fascinting Education course she’ll be taking next.
Fascinating Education currently offers these courses:
