If you’ve been around for long, you know I love to homeschool on a budget. Cheap or free resources are the only way we could afford to homeschool for many years, so I was constantly on the lookout for them.

Nowadays, we have a little more wiggle room in our budget but I still love a good deal!

Old habits are hard to break and sometimes, they’re not worth totally breaking. 😉

When I heard about Heritage Humanities, I knew it was something I needed to check out!

This post is sponsored by Heritage Humanities. I was compensate for my time and as always, I love sharing free resources with you.

5 Things You Need to Know About Heritage Humanities

It’s totally free:

Heritage Humanities is a collection of the best works from some of the greatest minds throughout the years. It’s an invaluable resource and best of all, it’s FREE!

While the database is always expanding, it may not always remain free so you should take advantage of it while you can.

Besides saving money by not buying actual books, Heritage Humanities will also save you late fees when you forget to return your overdue library books. (Please tell me I’m not the only one who basically pays the librarian’s salary.)

It’s perfect for ages 6-18:

One of my favorite things about Heritage Humanities is that there is something for everyone.

Kids as young as 6 will find useful books to read, while older kids will enjoy classics.

From McGuffey’s Readers to The Federalists Papers, there’s literally something for all age ranges, even adults! And if you start your kiddos out reading classic literature at a young age, they’ll be able to fully understand it once they’re older.

Choose Your Type:

While I prefer audio books, my teenagers prefer to read at their own speed. Lucky for them, Heritage Humanities offers both types of books!

We’ve all enjoyed listening to the audio books in the car so even if your kids prefer traditional books, don’t forget to think outside of the box on the ways you can use audiobooks in your homeschool.
