Homeschooling younger kids can be tedious. Trying to find a curriculum that will hold their interest and make them want to learn is even harder. Kids were made to run and play, jump and dance and to release all of their energy through movement.
Homeschooling a wiggly child has its very own set of challenges. Kids struggle to sit still and listen to subjects they just aren’t interested in. They’d rather play Minecraft or play outside.
Rowdy kids is a huge reason we choose to use unit studies in our homeschool. When it feels like the kids just can’t sit still through our history lessons, we change it up by letting them pick a history-based unit study.
The Internet is full of expensive unit studies. Sure, they’re only $5 or $6 each but that can add up quickly! So we set to work searching for an affordable and well-put-together unit studies.
