Homeschooling younger kids can be tedious. Trying to find a curriculum that will hold their interest and make them want to learn is even harder. Kids were made to run and play, jump and dance and to release all of their energy through movement.
Homeschooling a wiggly child has its very own set of challenges. Kids struggle to sit still and listen to subjects they just aren’t interested in. They’d rather play Minecraft or play outside.
Rowdy kids is a huge reason we choose to use unit studies in our homeschool. When it feels like the kids just can’t sit still through our history lessons, we change it up by letting them pick a history-based unit study.
The Internet is full of expensive unit studies. Sure, they’re only $5 or $6 each but that can add up quickly! So we set to work searching for an affordable and well-put-together unit studies.
And then we found Homeschool Share.
Homeschool Share provides high quality unit studies that EVERYONE can afford. They are completely FREE! Ain’t nobody gonna be complainin’ about that!
The site is user-friendly and easy to navigate. The unit studies and lapbooks are organized by level, making it simple to find what you’re looking for. There is a huge selection of subjects for kids to choose from so there’s always something for everyone!

Level 5: Chapter Books- Level 5, geared towards 7-12 year olds, uses chapter books as a way to stretch the unit study out over a longer period of time. It also focuses on more writing and research.
