Career Training for Homeschoolers
When I’m looking at electives to use in our high school years, I’m looking for more than just that high school credit. I want my kids to learn skills they’ll use, while still exploring their interests.
I want my teens to find an interest that they want to pursue for the rest of their lives. One that ignites a fire within them and that they truly love.
You know, the old saying isn’t wrong: Do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.
But how can you expose your child to these skills, when you yourself aren’t so passionate about them?
Edison Learning, that’s how!

Why You Need Edison Learning in Your Homeschool
Teaches Valuable Skills:
Edison Learning offers courses that teach your teens valuable skills. The Adobe class that we’re currently taking prepares you for the Adobe Certification Exam. Passing this exam is a great way to ensure you know all there is to know about the program.
With 40 courses and 18 certifications available, students can pick and choose which career pathways they want to pursue. There are some amazing career trainings for homeschoolers on their site!
Prepares Kids for the Work World:
The Career Pathways courses help prepare students for in-demand, high-skill college majors and careers. Most classes require no pre-requisites and can be completed in just one semester.
Besides helping them figure out exactly what they want to do, it also prepares them for the work world. They gain valuable skills that employers seek out. They’ll get a deep understanding of the technology that thriving career fields require, as well as some hands-on learning.
Helps Identify Interests:
The interactive courses help kids find passions that they may have previously overlooked. Instead of wasting thousands and thousands of dollars on a “general studies” degree from the local college, students can take classes to see if this is really what they want to do.
The short videos paired with the engaging lessons make Edison Learning a no-brainer. Students are encouraged to work along with the teachings, instead of just watching. As we all know, getting in there and actually doing the hands-on learning is what helps students really understand concepts.
Besides just exploring new career fields, Edison Learning prepares them for the job!
