1-on-1 Lessons:
Bear tends to be my shyest kid so I worried how well he would do with an online class. Thankfully, Brighterly Math offers one-on-one lessons with the tutors. That means he had her full attention for the entire class period.
I saw Bear’s confidence soar, from the beginning of class. Having a high-energy teacher who devoted her attention to him was great for his self-esteem! And I must say, the teacher, Miss Gracy, had a contagious personality, making the lesson super fun! (Bear laughed and laughed after she used a silly filter on her face, after he gave her a “high-five!” It was so funny and really lightened the mood!)
Vetted Tutors:
Speaking of Miss Gracy, she was easily the highlight of the class! She kept Bear engaged and smiling, which is darn-near impossible when he’s doing math! (Trust me, I’ve been trying for years and years now!)
It’s no suprise that the teacher was so awesome, since Brighterly Math only accepts 2% of the people who apply to be a teacher on their platform! They are very picky and only choose the best of the best, which makes the program a huge success!
At the end of class, Miss Gracy asked Bear what his favorite part of the lesson was and he even said “YOU!”
45 Minute Classes:
Let’s be honest, kids don’t have the best attention spans on the planet. No matter how much fun you make something, their mind tends to wander off after so long. I love the fact that Brighterly Math offers 45 minute sessions. It was the perfect amount of time for my 9 year old, who has little to no attention span. I was thoroughly impressed that they kept his attention for the entire time, but thankful that they didn’t stretch the lessons out for an entire hour!
