If you’re looking for an affordable family hotel in Branson, then I’ve got you, girl!
As a mom who is ALWAYS on a budget, there are certain things that I look for when I book a hotel.
- It’s gotta be affordable
- Gonna need to be conveniently located
- The more beds the merrier!
- Gotta be clean
- Needs a continental breakfast
And when I’m looking for an affordable family hotel in Branson, there’s only ONE that makes the cut: Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center.
The Most Affordable Family Hotel in Branson
A few things we loved about Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center:
Centrally located:
You can get to just about any show in Branson in about 5 minutes yet you don’t have to hear the hustle and bustle of the strip. It’s THE perfect location! Not to mention, there are a ton of yummy restaurants within just a few minutes of the hotel.
Lots of room:
Having 2 rooms with 3 very comfy beds gave us plenty of space! Our room had a door leading from the kids room to the parents room. Both had their own TV and bathrooms so we had plenty of space away from the kids. Yet, they were still right there, just a few feet away!
Their Family Suites would be PERFECT for grandparents, who are traveling with their kids and grandkids. There is plenty of space for everyone but enough room that you don’t feel crowded!
The breakfast of champs:
Biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, waffles, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, toast, oatmeal, apple juice, orange juice and kiwi strawberry juice made for a great breakfast each morning! We ate lots at breakfast then skipped lunch, saving some money! I figured the HUGE breakfast saved us at least $50 each day!
The pool:
With 2 pools and 2 hot tubs, you don’t have to worry about the crowds! Plus, the pool has AWESOME hours, 7am-midnight! That means that I was able to take the kids to the pool, even after our late shows, to help wear them out and sleep better!
24-hour arcade:
No need to run to the local parks. Give your kiddos a couple of bucks for the arcade and they’ll be happy campers! Best of all, you won’t even have to leave the hotel!
Convenient:
We are a family on a budget. When I heard there would be a fridge and microwave in our rooms, we packed up all of our fresh fruit and veggies from home and brought them with us! We also bought a few bottles of soda pop and a case of water bottles and always had cold drinks on hand.
We’ve found that hotels with a little fridge are always the best because you can store your leftovers, grab a pound of meat from the deli or keep cold drinks in them. Having a fridge in our room cuts down on unnecessary drink stops at the nearby gas stations. Those $1.99 fountain drinks can add up quickly!
Mama Hack: Fill up on the free continental breakfast then eat lunch out. Your bellies will be full and you can have a light dinner. We do a TON of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when traveling. You can also do what we call “ham rolls” where you skip the bread and just roll a piece of lunch meat and cheese together and eat it. No dishes needed and there’s basically no clean up required!
Just having a few simple snacks on hand can save you hundreds of dollars in fast food trips!
