I found an old copy of National Geographic Global Pursuit at a thrift store, and even though it is almost as old as me, my kids have fun playing and I am surprised at how many “little” facts they remember from school, watching a show, reading a book etc!

Board games are our favorite thing to do. There so many great educational games that add more fun to learning. This year I am incorporating more games into our homeschool time. There are creative ways I can tweak old favorites to help with our memory work for classical conversations, as well as geography games like the ones mentioned above. I am looking forward to purchasing as many new edu board games as we can afford as well. I foresee many more fun family game nights in our future.

I love these game suggestions. We are getting ready to finish up our study of the 50 States and move on to World Geography.
